Encouraging consistent physical activity, engagement, and lifelong movement habits with simple fundamentals

Self-expression emerges through awareness of movement. By observing our conditioning, loosening the grip of attachments, and honing control, we align mind and body, unveiling clarity and freedom.
KANSO IS A PHILOSOPHY OF SIMPLICITY;
REMOVING THE NON-ESSENTIAL TO CULTIVATE CLARITY.
It is once we limit ourselves to that we can begin to truly understand the limitless potential.

Chris Berki, founder of Kanso Arts, developed his approach through years of immersive training and self-discovery. His journey includes intensive training in Thailand’s mountains, where he studied Muay Chaiya, Muay Thai, Krabi-Krabong and internal arts, refining body mechanics through rigorous practice. His time in the Amazon, working with shamans and plant medicine, deepened his understanding of expanded awareness.
Through silent mindfulness retreats, a multitude of meditation techniques and Zen teachings, he cultivated a philosophy of simplicity, presence, and holistic wellness. With years of teaching experience, Chris integrates these influences into Kanso Arts—offering a structured yet fluid path to self-development and balance.
